14 weeks and Counting

This is what Kevin made out of our 10 week ultrasound. I thought it was really cute. Anyway, we had an appointment yesterday which went really well. We heard the little heart beat which was awesome. Most of it was us asking questions. It is confirmed that my pregnancy at this point is NOT a high risk pregnancy just because of the miscarriage. We were super carefully with everything during the first trimester and now that I am in my second trimester, I will continue only putting safe food in my belly and doing what I can to help the little "bambino" grow. One of the managers at my work calls our baby the little bambino. He he. Anyway, we scheduled our appointment to find out the sex of the baby. It will be May 24th at 3:30pm!! EST of course. Very excited!
This is a pretty bad picture of me at 13 weeks. I don't know if I look too different than the picture below taken I believe at 10 weeks. I actually lost one pound this month. At my last appointment I had lost 6 pounds so, so far during this pregnancy I have so far lost 7 pounds...lol. I don't think that will be the case soon.
So this is me I believe at 10 weeks. I started to show pretty early. I also have been feeling little flutters of the baby moving. I just know that is what I'm feeling because I have never felt anything like that before. It was really awesome. I look forward to feeling even more movement and eventually some kicking.

I am also excited because I am going to be quitting my job on June 25th. Well I have already given my notice but that will be my last day. I am NOT going to be spending my third trimester working at a deli. No way. Anyhow, that is the update this week. :-)

Week 10!

We had our second appointment on Tuesday at 10 weeks pregnant. We were not expecting to get an ultrasound, but we did get one! It was awesome because we got to see our little baby's arms and legs wiggling around. Seeing that made it a lot more real for Kevin and I. We were like, "Holy Poo! We are actually having a baby!" Happy and nervous at the same time. But WAY excited at the same time! It is funny because I have been super careful feeling my belly and the doctor just dug in with that ultrasound stick and I was like, woh! Ow! But it wasn't that big of deal. I was mainly surprised. But I like my doctor. He seems really cool. My next appointment is April 20th. My Aunt Ruth's Birthday! At that appointment we will then schedule my ultrasound which will tell us if it is a boy or a girl. Woo! I am feeling a lot better. I am almost to that 2nd trimester so I am really excited about that. I still don't want chicken or most meats. But we will see if I will want them again soon or if I will love my chicken and meat again after we have our little baby. YAY!

Here I Am!

Wednesday, February 24th, Kevin and I were able to get an ultrasound to see our baby and hear the heartbeat! Here is the sonogram. It is tiny but you can see our little baby. Can't wait for the next one. This is at 6 weeks 2 days. I am now at 7 weeks 3 days. Kevin and I are still really excited. This last week I have been feeling real bad. The doctor is having me sample a few different kinds of Prenatal vitamins, and I am almost done with the first sample pack. I think part of the reason I basically couldn't eat ANYTHING for a couple of days was because I just started the new ones. I am feeling a little better now. But you never know when it will come back again hard. Still haven't thrown up though. I feel blessed so far, but again, my luck, I will throw up at the worst moment like during a piano lesson, at work, or during church while I'm up at the organ. I feel a little crazy, but at 7 weeks and 3 days, I already feel bigger in the belly. That is crazy. I am already in need of bigger pants and trust me I haven't been eating more. I can barely get much down before my body hates it again. Anyway, Kevin and I are still praying hard and thanking Heavenly Father every day for the gift he's given us and pray that mom and baby stay healthy...and Daddy stays sane! Poor Kevin he is so good at taking care of me and helping me around the house. Thank you for your prayers and please keep them up!

Good News!!

So about 2 weeks ago Kevin and I found out that we were pregnant again! Yay! I am 6 weeks 4 days as of today, and I am due October 18th according to the ultrasound I got on Wednesday. I want to post that when I figure out how. (It is in PDF format at the time I may just take a picture of it. Anyhow, we are so excited and we are praying hard that we have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby at the end. :-) Kevin and I can't help but feel extremely blessed even this early in the pregnancy. It was so nice to see our little bean and hear and see the heartbeat. We are already in love and so attached to this little baby that is only as big as a blueberry.

I have been feeling ok, as in I haven't thrown up yet, but I definately don't feel great. I have many food aversions, which sometimes include everything in the house including water. Sprite has really been a saving grace for me, but I try to get some things down so I get proper nutrients and vitamins that I need. I obviously take my prenatals, but I feel like I lack protein since the two meats we usually eat, ground turkey and chicken, I am not wanting to eat at the moment. somtimes I can't even be in the kitchen. I am also really moody. Poor Kevin. He has to put up with me! But I love him, he has been so great at putting up with me and making me comfortable. How luck am I! I feel very lucky. But still praying that all goes well!

Mac and CHEESE!

So Kevin and I made the BEST Mac and Cheese I've ever tasted. Really, it was a recipe that my mom has been making all my life and we just added stuff and baked it. My mom makes this AMAZING homemade cheese sauce which she taught me how to make when she was here in November. So I mixed the cheese sauce in and then we added bacon pieces (I just used the pre-cooked bacon or "sandwich" bacon) and then topped with extra Cheddar cheese and then BAKED ALL THE GOODNESS TOGETHER and this is what we got!

Mac and Cheese Awesome

It was SO delicious! Oh and I used Rotini noodles instead of the macaroni noodles. They are my fav because they capture some sauce in the twirlies! Anyway, VERY TASTY!

Merry Christmas!

Hi! Kevin and I went to Lexington with The Sproul Family for Christmas! I will post more pictures later. The picture to the right is from Kevin's company's Christmas Party! I thought it is a really good picture of us. We won a breadmaker (YUM) and we were able to stay at the Marriot downtown which was fun. This year Kevin played Santa in our Ward Christmas Party and he had a REALLY fun time with that.

Christmas with the Sprouls was SO fun! I really felt like a Sproul too! Which I am of coarse! But it was really fun experiencing a whole new Christmas this year with new family. On Christmas Eve they do a whole program with words and songs of the nativity and it was SO special! I'm taking that one to San Diego with me next time I have Christmas down there. I loved it! Another cool thing that I love about Sproul Christmas is actually what I learned a few weeks before while helping my mom in law decorate the Christmas tree. Almost every ornament has a special memory or meaning to it. LOVE THAT! It was so special. I mean that literal too, not the way Kevin always means that word. It is really special and touches my heart and all!

To all of our friends and family, Merry Christmas! I hope everyone's was wonderful!!

Love,

The Sprouls
