These pictures are from a week or two ago but I realized it was June and I needed to put my pictures on the computer. I gave her frozen cubes of pureed prunes in the mesh feeder. Such a mess! She loves prunes! Which is good because we have been having poo issues. Anyway, ENJOY!
Who could resist this face! And that HAIR! I love her cute hair! Long and strait! Hope it stays that way for her sake! My hair is crazy. She gets it from Kevin!

7 month pictures
I took Kaylee to our apartment park for the first time. Just to try out the swing and take some pictures. The pictures didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but they are still cute.
Love this girl! I can't believe that 7 months has gone by so fast!

7 months a mom
I wrote this a week ago, awaiting a photo that I am going to take, but blogger was down and I have yet to take the photo. I will post the photo on another day or post:
Two things happened in the last few days, Mothers Day and Kaylee turning 7 months old! I had the BEST mothers day. Kevin made a weekend out of it making me dinner and brownies, doing chores around the house (and I mean big chores like moving an old couch out of the apartment almost all by himself during my nap), and best of all ZOO PASSES! But what I really want to talk about is being a mother. When Kevin and I decided to start a family I was both nervous and excited. But when we finally got pregnant, it wasn't long before that chance was taken from us. I am so glad that Kaylee stayed healthy in my belly and healthy outside my belly so we could enjoy her presence. She is such a blessing to us and I feel so happy to be a mom! So mothers day was so special to me because I was able to celebrate this wonderful eternal calling I have to be a mom. I am so glad it is forever!
A lot has gone on for Kaylee this month too! Here are some of the things she can do:
-She can sit up by herself for a long(ish) period of time. She has even gotten that way on her own before!
-She is really starting to move, and by move I mean crawling. It isn't the typical baby crawl yet but it is half inch worm, half army man and sometimes a few normal crawls put together. :-)
-She went on her first flight. It didn't go horribly, although at times it was rather challenging.
-She got her first tooth in San Diego, and her second tooth last week!! They are becoming more and more prominent every day.
-I am pretty sure she is starting to say mama!! Oh please! It would make me SO happy!
-She is eating more and more foods, the latest being green beans. The only food that she kind of cringes at. She does love her apples and prunes. I love making her baby food! It is cheaper and I find it really easy to make. Except home made rice cereal. That I am not good at.
-She laughs more and loves to be around people.
I love being a mom and I love watching Kaylee grow up! She is my little princess and she always will be!

San Diego Part 2
I think it was the Thursday we were out there that my sister Claudia, Kevin, and I all went to Sea Port villiage while my mom babysat the babe. I freakin LOVE that place! Kevin got Kaylee a Penguin toy and we looked at the amazing hammock shop. That shop IS our future I swear! They have a hammock that can fit like 6 people!
Aunt Claudia (Kaylee's Aunt Claudia) LOVED spending time with her neice and telling her that she was the champion of the world! She is such a wonderful aunt!
Later on that Thursday we got to see my cousin MARIA! We went and saw her in action teaching a guitar ensemble group and she met Kaylee! It was seriously amazing! You can check out their facebook page HERE if you live in the San Diego area and are thinking about putting your kids in lessons.
Later that night we went to Denny's with Maria, her husband Tim, Claudia, Me and Kevin. SO fun we had such a great time talking like the old days.
This is a random picture of Kaylee in the pac n play my parents bought for her visit! It is SO cute! It is winnie the poo and has a little mobile!
We are so grateful for my parents generosity! They made our trip so much smoother and less stressful! They also bought a convertible car seat, and an umbrella stroller (that matched the pac n play by the way).
On the Saturday, we went over to my Aunt Claudia and Uncle David's house. My twin cousin Shannon came over to meet my little girl and catch up a bit with me and I think Kaylee loved her too!
Above is my WONDERFUL Aunt Claudia and Uncle David! I am SO glad that I was able to go and see them while I was there! I love those guys!
My cousin Andrea also came home while we were there and got to hang out with us! She even helped Kaylee walk across the room which we did not know that she was capable of doing that! The things you learn! Awesome!
KAYLEE'S FIRST EASTER! The Easter Bunny came and brought treats for all of us! The Easter Bunny and my mom worked together literally as one to put together this wonderful table of gifts! Thanks guys! ;-)
This is my little girl opening her first basket! She got some REALLY cool things! She got a bunny hat, an Easter book from the movie HOP, a pink hippo, some bendy bunnies and a pack of CDS called 150 toddler favorites. The CDs also have printable activites on them! Kaylee and I have listened to the first two CDs so far and I have to say it is fun and at times hilarious. Now for your viewing pleasure:

San Diego/ Kevin's Birthday
So it is now 1:10am and I can't sleep so what better to do than to blog about our amazing week out in San Diego!
April 16th was Kevin's Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the sweetest, funniest, and amazing husband and father I could ask for! It was a nice way to start the vaca. We started his day by having lunch at Phil's BBQ featured on Man Vs. Food. SO DELISH! All at the bash were my mom and dad, my sister Claudia, my best friend and her husband Manda and Mike Diaz, Kevin (of coarse), Me and Kaylee :-). We all then went and visited my grandma Melba who got to meet Kaylee. I wish I could have spent more time with her while there! I also for got my camera (boo on my part) so I will have to post those pictures later because I had to take them on Kevin's camera. Next we went to my parents for some make your own triffles. Yum! That night we went to my parent's ward YW fundraiser where they did a Beatles sing along with a silent auction as well as an occational ....loud auction? Anyhow, I think it went well and I REALLY enjoyed seeing my dad perform. Since I live so far away I never get to see the stuff her does!
The main purpose of this trip was to see family as much as posible so we made sure all our grandparents got visited. Monday we went up to LA where Kevin's grandma lives and had lunch with her. She is so amazing! Plus we got to stop by at my grandparent's house (my mom's side).
On the Border, Dad, Kevin, and Claudia
Ree and Kaylee, drinking the salt...not really :-)
Lori, Aunt Ruth and Kaylee (to the Left)

Kaylee with her Great Grandma Genie
With her Great Grandpa Earl
With her Great Uncle Bob
With her Great Grandma Burroughs (Kevin's Grandma)
It was such a joy to have them all meet my little girl. Again, I need to get those pictures with Grandma Melba. She will get her own blog post I think.
Other events that happened is we celebrated my Aunt Ruth's Birthday! Her birthday was on April 20th so we celebrated it a day early at Taco Tuesday at On the Border. YUM! I couldn't finish the 3rd taco. I only ate 2. Kaylee then proceeded to cut a tooth that night providing many tears to the house hold. Thankfully, my parents and sister were very patient with the crying and said they either didn't hear it or it wasn't that much of a bother. They were probably being nice, but I appreciated it for sure! Thursday we had a BBQ at our friend Lori's house! THANK YOU! I was glad to spend time with her since I have been telling Kevin how awesome she is like forever. Plus Kaylee had fun in the pool. (videos to come)
Ree and Kaylee, drinking the salt...not really :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT RUTH!!
Love this of my mom and Kaylee
Kaylee and I right before her pool plunge! (to the Right)
I will finish on another blog I think. I will give sleep another shot!! Good Night!

6 month old Kaylee Girl
So on Sunday, our little Kaylee girl turned 6 months old! I can't believe half a year has gone by already. It sure has been a blessing to have her in our life and we look forward to many more years. Here are a few pictures of our cute girl.
Kaylee has been teething for quite some time now. Still no teeth. But I think that it is going to happen VERY soon. I'm excited and terrified (I'm breast feeding). She will look really cute with little teeth. She is chewing on EVERYTHING. I do feel bad for her when I can tell she is hurting though. Also you can see that she is mastering the art of sitting up. I still have to be close by, but she is getting a lot better.
She is a master at rolling everywhere. If she sees it on the floor she knows that with enough patience, she will figure of the angle necissary to roll to it. She al can scoot herself in a circle. She can do an inch worm crawl but doens't do it often. I figure it will be like the rolling thing. She will do it occasionally and then one day she realizes that she can use it to her advantage.
Our little girl now is 25.5 inches long, 16 lbs 5oz, both in the 50 percentile. Then her head is 43.5 centimeters still in the 75%. Wow!
Kaylee can also straiten her arms and hold it for quite a while. She can also hold the crawling position for a while and then plops. For now she prefers her inch worm crawl. Love this kid!
I love when she does this. Smile with a paci in. She is such a blessing in our life and I feel so blessed to be her mommy!

Hangin' out
I haven't posted something in a long time. Well it feels like a long time. Last weekend was General Confrence so we got to hang out together and try to pay attention while our cute daughter played (and "talked" and screamed a bit) on the floor. We watched Saturday morning session with our friend Mary Beth Russel who was very nice and brought pizza, breadsticks and dip. I made homemade bread but it hardly seems a fair trade. The food was delicous. Here is a little video of Kaylee playing. She has been inch worm crawling lately. Just the beginnings of actual crawling and you can see her try in this video. She actually doesn't do it here. But if you ever do catch her do it, it is amazing. It will be crazy to see her actually bust out a ton of crawling someday. Please excuse random napkin on the floor...
We sure love our Kaylee girl!!
